Project Summary:

• Were given the patient profile and had to evaluate different ways to create a solution to his problem

• We got the opportunity to speak to different specialists - including physicians, nurses and people living with ostomy bags

• Were given class time to perform research on the matter in order to create a medically feasible solution

• Defined project leads that would be used for the remainder of the course​​

  • Administrator - Responsible for all team submissions​. Creation of the Gantt Chart

  • Manager - Responsible for reminding the team of due dates and meeting times. Creation of the Executive Summary at the end of the project

  • Coordinator - Responsible for organizing all team meetings throughout the project. Creation of the Log Book for team progress

  • Subject Matter Expert - Responsible for collecting and citing all sources for the materials database at the end of the project

• Defined weekly roles that would also be used for the remainder of the course

  • Chair - Responsible for leading team discussions

  • Note-taker - Responsible for recording 'meeting minutes' and sketching
